Do you know where your Cruciverbalist is?

I don't know if you've ever heard the word, Cruciverbalist, but I heard it from Paul Harvey.  Remember Paul Harvey?  "Hello, Americans.  This is Paul Harvey.  Stand by for Nnneeeews!"
Well, one day Paul was sharing on one of his Rest of the Story programs and I was surprised to discover that it directly related to me.  In fact, I was further amazed to learn that I was in company with a whole variety of personalities.  Some of those people included actors/actresses, pharmacists, housekeepers, doctors, tailors, plumbers, fishermen and even children.
Further, my new knowledge even allowed that I had a title, something I had not been aware of, even though I had been practicing my craft for years.  Now, if you have guessed that my title is Cruciverbalist, you are entirely correct.  But does knowing my title help you to know what I do?  No?  Well, basically, I break words into pieces and create games out of them.  In other words, I make word games that other people play and, hopefully, enjoy.
Do you like to do crosswords or word search puzzles?  Those are only two of the types of puzzles that I create.  There are many different kinds of word puzzles and I like to dabble in a variety of them.
If you do crossword puzzles, have you ever considered what kind of person might have made that puzzle?  Next time you lift your pencil to solve a crossword or other word puzzle, think about who may have created that game.  And by the way, do you know what your neighbor does in his/her spare time?  Think about it.  You just may be surprised.

Oh, how cool. My neighbors like to build campfires in their back yard, they love my girls and talk with them a lot. :0)

I've always admired you folks-cruciverbalists. I love solving those word puzzles, but never am very successful when I try to make one.

Before I started writing for real, I used to be a crossword puzzle fanatic. That is so cool that you make them. You should share one on your blog sometime.

I am one of the few in my entire family that stinks at crossword puzzles, but I'm good at word games. I'd never heard the word before.

As far as to what my neighbors do in their spare time....I'm thinking, when it comes to some of them, I don't really want to know.... ;)

I wonder if you have created one of the crosswords I have done lately...... It is supposed to keep my mind fit and healthy, so it is a good thing that I enjoy puzzles.

All of my neighbors are camping! I don't care to know what they are doing as long as it isn't illegal.

Thanks for the kind words left on my blog. As I read all the comments left, it is a comfort to know that others really care.

Hi Bev,
Yeah, I liked Paul Harvey. Between him and the Statlers, I was kept entertained. I'm kinda' like you; do I really want to know what goes on beyond my garden gate? I don't think so.

Kristi,
I'm sure if you chose to create puzzles, you would be good at it. And I have no doubt that you would love it.

Susan,
I think that's so cool that you enjoyed doing crosswords. Oddly, its not something I do very often. If I find a new type, I want to learn how to do it, then I'm satisfied to create them.

Hi PJ,
I'm guessing you mean word games like Scrabble and such? I love word games.
As far as knowing what some people do, the old cliche', "What we don't know, won't hurt us," makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Hello Kathy,
Doing or creating word puzzles is very relaxing and, for me, therapeutic. I completely lose myself when I'm creating puzzles or writing.
I'm glad you understood that I really do care a great deal.

Hi Jen,
I'm so glad you came to visit. Hope you're feeling alright. Take care. ~ Yaya
