66 Love Letters

Sometime back, I was given the opportunity to review an awesome book, 66 Love Letters.  It has taken me awhile to read it because my eyes have been giving me trouble.  However, I must say, this is one of the best books I've found for getting into the Bible.

Dr. Larry Crabb has taken each book in the Bible and broken it down so each book is as it should be; a love letter from our Heavenly Father.  I was really surprised at the sense of personal touch I felt while reading this book.  Yes, I have read the Bible, many times and I love the messages and the stories.  However, in his book, 66 Love Letters, Dr. Crabb explains in clear and simple language how completely involved our Father is in our lives.  It's a book I have returned to several times to remind me that the Bible really is a love letter from my Heavenly Father.

66 Love Letters, read in conjunction with the Bible, brings a very personal and deep sense of why we have the Bible and how we can let it be a guide in our lives.  I strongly recommend this book as a help in understanding our Father's great love.  I hope you will pick it up and find out for yourself what an awesome message is waiting, just for you.

Until the next time, keep a hug on.

This is the first I've heard of this book. Can't imagine what this would be. Think I'll just stick with the Bible.

Oh, I hope I didn't make it sound like a substitute for the Bible. I just was able to understand a whole lot more; it's more a book of explanation than anything. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Yaya! Thank you for stopping by! You know you are so right. I hadn't thought of this post in that perspective but it is so true. I pray that I am and will be a stepping stone to God for those I come in contact with rather than a stumbling block. I long to hear the words "well done thy good and faithful servant" and I won't if I am a hindrance to people rather than a helper. Thank you for that thought. Also, who is the publishing company of "66 Letters" That sounds like a book in which I would love to do a give-away for. I didn't use to do too many Book Give-Aways, then I got to thinking that is another way to get God's Word into people's hand and maybe even get them interested in studying His Word. I've known several people who wouldn't read the Bible because they said they didn't understand it, but then they would get interested in a book ABOUT the Bible and would find a study Bible and go from there. It's so neat to see them grow. That's really the way I started. I still use study Bibles and other Devotional books. I don't just get my text from one Bible. Most of the times I use the KJV for my verse, read a devotion out of a devotional book, then read the Reference Bible for the Bible Verse text, then expand on my thoughts. That is my process. LOL! Now was that too much info, I'm sure you really don't care how I posts, but my singular point is to really study the Bible it takes more. The first and main thing it takes is prayer, then everything else follows. If you're wondering what got me on this subject, it was the young lady who said "she would stick to her Bible. That is good, but sometimes God uses different mediums and sources to get His point across (to help us understand)God will quicken your spirit and tell you if something you're reading doesn't align with the Word. If you read the Bible enough, you will know. I hope I don't upset her for saying that, but I have found this to be so true in my walk with God.

God Bless,
PJ

I should have known that the аirport οn thе day before Christmas Eve would be а madhouse, but I had never haԁ ρrоblems flying before, and ӏ probably had tοo much faith in the syѕtem.

You don't have to purchase multi-photo frames in order to do this. Well, actually I was a fan of the hard rocking groups, with Motley Crue at the top of the heap.
