This is where I thrive

     I love my home.

Doesn't this look cozy?  There is a Breakfast Nook hidden behind that counter.

This woodstove is a dream of mine.  If we ever hafta' move, it will break my heart to leave this stove behind.

This is the wrong angle.  That is tucked into a little corner section an' it is one 'uh my favorite places to sit an' chat with my good hubby-buddy.  He gets to sit on the miniature church pew.

Studying is so peaceful at my English Double-Desk.  It sets jus' below my stained glass window.  Aaaaah!  Ain't life grand?

Until the next time, keep a hug on.

Nice hardwood floors and kitchen. I've never used a wood burning stove. How easy is that to cook on?

Thank you, Gail. It took me a long time to find it, so I enjoy every single thing about it. Well, maybe not the basement when it floods. :)

That's how I feel, too, Debbie. I still can't believe my good fortune. Thank you, Sears & Roebuck for my lovely home.

Tisha, I have been tryin' to figure out a way to fold up that stove an' tuck it into my purse so's no one would notice. If you think of a way, lemme' know, y'hear?

Although I love that desk an' stool, Kelly, it doesn't quite have enough room for my computer, so I work in my office. I like my office, but I L-o-o-o-o-v-e my foyer. I'll post a picture of the church pew, sometime soon.

Thank you, Betty. I sure enjoy it.

Oh, yeah, Nezzy; you bet. I can see exactly how my good hubby-buddy would react if I were to suddenly grow tired of that set. He wouln't wait for the door to hit me in the rear. Nope! He would give it a little push, jus' to make sure. haha

The hardest part 'bout usin' a woodstove, GW, is getting the doggone thing lit. Once you get the hang of that part, the actual cooking is a lot less troublesome than some modern stoves, in my opinion. If the fire gets too hot, you move the pan to a cooler part 'uh the stove. Or, the other way around. For the record, though, I have learned that it is not a good idea to open the oven door without using an oven mitt. Jus' sayin'...

Thank you for sharing! I LOVE your woodstove/or is it oil? I had one up in Alaska and it made the BEST homemade tortillas EVER! It helped keep me and my spirit warm through quite a few winters.

That is an outstanding woodstove, Laura. We often cook on it an' I truly enjoy havin' the entire top, flat. Makes for easier cookin' for some things.

I've been waitin' for ya', Hilary. Did I miss yer knock on the door? Next time, knock a little harder. We'll have cookies an' hot cocoa.

Thank you, Sharon. One thing I really like about my home, that I've never seen before, is the ceilings in all the downstairs rooms look the same as the floors... sorta'. I love it.

Thanks, Jemi. I will hate leaving the stove behind, if I ever hafta' leave. I wonder if it would fit in my purse?

Isn't that an awesome desk, Laurie? Thank you. We've had that for many long years, along with the stool an' it jus' makes me wanna' learn somethin', everytime I pass by it.

In my entire life, Nina, I never thought I would be fortunate enough to live in such a home. Come on over an' we'll enjoy it together.

Thanks, Lenny. We do have another stove that runs on electricity, but we often enjoy cooking on our woodstove. I wish you were here to help us make some popcorn.

I haven't figured out how to get a picture of that stained glass window, yet, Debra. Everytime I try, I get nuthin' but bright light. In the daytime, the sun shows up an' at night, the flash goes off. I can't seem to win on that. Any suggestions?

Hi, Su. I'll check out your other blog, too. I used to have more than one blog, but found that it was more than I could handle. Nice to meet you, too.

Thanks, ya'll. I'm so glad we were able to enjoy the house an' stove together. I really liked sharing it with you.
