Look'it I Can Do!

I do love discoverin' new things.  First, there's the whole thing of findin' that there's somethin' you never even knew existed AND it will do things that you always wanted to do.  Then, you get to flip through those virtual pages and dream about how nice it would be to make that clever toy do... THIS.  Ooooooh!  That's soooooo cool.  Next, you think, "Well, I wonder if it could do... THAT?"  In fact, I've been known to fantasize over a desired treasure for hours, days... even months, often knowing that I would never own said treasure.  *sigh*

Oh, the joys of wishin' and hopin' and plannin' and dreamin'...  Wait a minute!  Haven't I heard those words in a song?  Oh, yeah.  heheh.  Sorry 'bout that.  Now, what was I talkin' 'bout?  Let's see; I was wishin' and hopin'.  Then, came the plannin' and dreamin'.  No, no!  That wasn't it.  Somethin' 'bout a toy that I wanted... Oh, yeah!  That was it.  A new toy!

So, there I was, flippin' through those virtual pages and havin' so much fun with all the things that wunnerful treasure could do when lo and behold, right outta' the blue... POOF!  I found myself with pen in hand (aka, mouse) and at the controls of SO. MUCH. FUN.

Here; lemme' show you.  Watch this:

Cool, eh?  No?  You wanna' see more?  Okie-dokie; how 'bout this one?

There's more.  Yeah; I haven't even told you the good part... You can do this, too!  Jus' go here:  Maze Creator and check out alla' the fun stuff they have.  This is sooooooo muuuuuch fuuuuun.  There are several options and you are jus' gonna' love it.  It is sooooooo Cool Beans!

Although I was partially compensated in trying this program out, if I had known how much fun it was gonna' be, I woulda' owned it a long, long time ago.  My grandies are gonna' loooooove all the fun I can create for 'em.

Until the next time, keep a hug on.

Tools, Toys and Favorite Things

Wow!  I've been gone longer than I anticipated.  Did you forget that the 4th of July weekend was coming up when I said I would tell you my secret?  I forgot.  I fully expected to be back after a day or two.  The good news is that I have been having the greatest fun with my new toy.  The bad news is that I made you all wait far too long to play with me.  I'm sorry.

Now that you're here, though, there's nuthin' to stop us from havin' loads of fun.  So, come on; gather 'round and I'll show you what I got.  I hafta' tell a story on my good hubby-buddy, though.  He's such a stinker, at times.  When the package came in from CSN, he carried it upstairs for me.  Then he casually said, "I'm not putting it together."

Humph!  Does your hubby-buddy balk at putting things together?  Well, for just an instant, I had a sinking feeling that I had been abandoned.  It didn't take me long to decide that I could do it myself, though.  Jus' wantcha' ta' know, this was waaaaaaay outta' character for him.

So, timing myself and determining to do whatever it took, I set to work.  Patience, I decided, was my best friend, especially when I opened the box and discovered all those little pieces.  Interestingly, by stopping and starting and always checking the clock, I found that it only took me one hour and 59 minutes (yeah, I know I coulda' said two hours, but its more fun, this way).

When I went to share my handiwork with my good hubby-buddy, I started out by saying that I had messed up.  Imagine my shock when he, with a gesture of exhilaration(?), exclaimed, "Yes!  I knew you wouldn't be able to do it.  Women can't put things together."

Naturally, his reaction made me very happy that I had not asked for help.  Of course, when he saw my new toy, he changed his tone and was quite proud of what I had done.  Then, he asked how I thought it was messed up.  I told him that actually, that had been part of a joke to get him to come and see what I had done.  We had a good chuckle before I went on to share with him.

I thought about using my 4D Concepts Storage Tower for my sewing supplies or crafting tools; it would be great for either.  In fact, there are so many good uses for this handy tool.  In the end, I decided that I would be best served in using my tower  as an interim filing system.

By putting my papers in the different drawers, then transferring those to the large filing system at the end of the week, I've saved a lot of stress and time. Filing is not my favorite thing. Soon, I'll have my review up on CSN and you'll be able to see even more about it.

There are many small pieces and the task was slightly annoying at times, but the end result, for me, was well worth the effort.  I would gladly put another one or even ten together for the joy of having these useful units available.

Although I was given the 4D Concepts Storage Tower in exchange for a review, I have been honest in telling you about it.  I was not compensated in any other way.  My life has been greatly improved by this, my new favorite toy.  And I won't benefit from it, but my next question is how will you use yours?

Until the next time, keep a hug on.

I'm Lovin' It!

I'll bet you've been anxious to know about my new CSN toy, haven't you?  Well, I'm gonna' tell you all about it, right now.  Its about THIS tall and T-H-I-I-I-I-S wide and there are lotsa' colors.  Oh, yeah; and wheels.  I've been getting it ready to show you, so if you wanna' know more about it, be sure to come back when I'm ready.

     ::Tinkering... fine-tuning... perfecting... ::

For the record, I'm havin' lotsa' fun with the preparations.  As a writer, I'm finding that this is the perfect tool.  Oh, yeah; I know I said it was a new toy.  Well, toys can be tools, too, ya' know... just summa' the more FUN tools.  Suffice it to say that when you get yours, you're gonna' know 'xactly what I'm talkin' about.  This new toy is one of the handiest little jewels I've ever had.

Lemme' give you an example.  Okay, I write for a couple of different newspapers and some magazines and I'm an editor with an online site.  Naturally, I have my own fun writing projects in various stages of completion.  The only trouble is, every single thing I'm working on seems to wanna' be properly filed, lest I lose track of what I'm doin'.

One of the most annoying things I can think of is having to file papers.  "File Papers" is just another word for "Am I Organized?"  That is a trick question on accounta' there are a couple of ways I could answer.  I could say flat-out, yes, but I don't write that kinda' fiction very well.

Also, I decided long ago that organization is waaaaaay over-rated.  Have you ever stopped to think how much work it takes to get organized?  Why, a person could be havin' an awfully lot of fun with other things, if organization wouldn't get in the way alla' time.  'Course, there is that whole thing of being in control when you're organized.

That's what makes my new toy such a great addition in my life.  Its all set up, just begging to contribute to the cause.  I'm gonna' label it and when I'm working on any of my writing, I'll just roll that little jewel to a handy spot nearby and whoot!  whoot!  Control is just a matter of 1-2-3... Ta-Da!

So, come on back here soon and see what fun I've been havin'.  I think you're gonna' want one of these little tool/toys for your very own... 'specially, if filing and paperwork have been a thorn in your side, the way they have in mine.

Until the next time, keep a hug on.
